Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) National President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday expressed confidence that the people of Uttar Pradesh will bring his party back to power in the 2027 Assembly elections. Addressing the Digital Democracy Dialogue at the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Auditorium at the party’s state headquarters in Lucknow, Yadav launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of attempting to defame the SP through conspiracies.
He alleged that the BJP was misusing government machinery and spreading misinformation to create challenges for the opposition. “The Samajwadi Party is fully prepared to face every challenge posed by the BJP,” he asserted, adding that his party believes in countering falsehoods with truth.
Highlighting concerns about the current political climate, Yadav said democracy was under threat and emphasized the importance of dialogue and social harmony in sustaining democratic values. He stressed that a positive political direction could be achieved through the PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) framework, adding that any movement without clear ideology risks becoming directionless.

Yadav also underlined the importance of discipline and simplicity in public conduct, urging party workers to remain calm and principled. He noted that the SP has always stood by its ideology and never compromised on its core values.
Referring to the party’s earlier initiatives, he said schemes like laptop distribution had helped bridge social inequality and opened new avenues for youth development. He accused the BJP of using digital platforms for its own interests and warned party workers to remain vigilant against misinformation campaigns.
